In Footprints, I am lucky enough to host our events with Ronald McDonald House (RMH) Charities. I started hosting these events during the Summer of 2024. During my first RMH, I remember being so nervous to host my first event. There was a lot to coordinate and I was so afraid I was going to miss a vital ingredient in one of the recipes. All my fears subsided when I got to RMH and realized what a kind and comforting community it is. Everyone there is so welcoming and kind, and the first RMH went great! RMH sweet treat events are truly so much fun and are such a great opportunity to hang out with the Footprints fam while giving to the community.
This Fall semester of RMH has been the best one yet! We made so many yummy treats, including but not limited to cupcakes, cinnamon streusel muffins, pumpkin-chocolate chip cookies, snickerdoodle cookies, holiday Hershey’s Kiss cookies, brownies, and much more! One of my favorite parts of RMH is decorating our cupcakes and cookies with frosting. It is so fun to see what creative ideas all our Footprints members have! With food coloring, frosting, and a dream, it is so amazing to see what everyone can create. If I had to pick, I think my favorite designs have been a wreath cookie for our winter holiday-themed RMH and a crazy monster cupcake for our Halloween RMH. I have had so much fun this past semester at RMH sweet treats, and I cannot wait for our Spring semester RMH events!
