When I first joined Footprints, I was incredibly nervous about being part of this new organization. I did not know any members and I can definitely be more introverted when first getting to know people. Now that I’ve been a part of this organization for a year though, I cannot even begin to describe how thankful I am to be a part of something so amazing. But since I’m writing this, I’m definitely going to try.
I have made so many new friends since being in Footprints, whether I was lucky enough to be shift buddies with them or found out we were in the same class together, the connections you can and will make in this organization are endless. There are so many things to learn from the other members in this organization. Many of them are involved in other organizations within campus that are so impactful, and hearing firsthand about their experiences can help you decide whether to spread your wings a little further and try another new experience.
One of my favorite things about being in Footprints is the post-GBM socials we have. It’s so nice to have a designated time where you can get a little sweet treat with your friends at Jeremiah’s, or maybe dinner at El Indio, and then just gossip with everyone about what’s been going on in life and how much you think certain contestants should be eliminated from Dancing with the Stars. Being in this organization is truly like being a part of a second family, where everyone treats you with welcoming arms and a big smile.
